PRESS RELEASE

~ Excerpt from the VoyageLA article “Inspiring Conversations with Jeremiah Reid of Special Needs Coach” published August 2025.
VoyageLA: Hi Jeremiah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
“I first began my career in the field of special education, where I had the opportunity to serve in a variety of roles including behavioral specialist, special education para, and before and after school program director. Each of these roles gave me a unique perspective on how students learn and the support they need to thrive. Along the way, I was fortunate to have many dedicated professionals mentor me, providing the guidance and skills that have shaped the way I work today.
Over time, I realized I wanted to take my passion for special education beyond the classroom setting. My vision was to fill the gaps in the education system and create opportunities for students to learn online in the comfort of their own home, where parents and families are at the center of the learning process. This approach not only allows for individualized support, but also empowers families to play an active role in their child’s growth and success.”
VoyageLA: Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
“At Special Needs Coach, my vision has always been to create a space where children and adults with special needs can grow beyond the traditional classroom and into real-world independence. What makes us unique is our holistic approach—we don’t just focus on academics or behavior, but on the whole person. That means everything from executive functioning and social skills to work readiness, and daily living.
I believe learning should feel natural and connected to life, which is why I place families at the center of the process. Parents are not just observers, but active participants in their child’s growth, and together we build strategies that truly work in the home and community.
What sets my work apart is that it’s not one-size-fits-all. Every individual I coach has a unique path, and I tailor each session to meet them exactly where they are. I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is when students gain confidence not just in school, but in friendships, work, and daily routines.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud that Special Needs Coach represents more than a service—it’s a movement toward empowerment. Our motto, “Growing Individuals, No Matter the Challenge, Thriving Awaits,” really captures that spirit. I want readers to know that this isn’t just about tutoring or coaching—it’s about opening doors, creating independence, and showing families that thriving is always within reach.”
